The Tarchon project maintains a strong commitment to transparency and engagement at every stage of development, encompassing both formal public participation processes and informal stakeholder dialogue.

The public is informed about all essential project steps and planning progress within the framework of the legally required public participation. Public participation goes beyond the legal requirements. The specific participation formats vary depending on the planning status and procedural phase. In all sections of the project, the public is informed early, transparently, and continuously about the progress of the project and involved in an appropriate way.

An informal participation of the districts and other stakeholders has already taken place with the involvement of the Office for Regional State Development (ArL) Weser-Ems. At the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture (ML – supreme state spatial planning authority of Lower Saxony), there was also informal participation of the ArL, the Ministry of the Environment (MU – supreme state nature conservation authority of Lower Saxony), the Lower Saxony State Agency for Water Management, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN), the National Park Administration of Lower Saxony Wadden Sea (NLPV), and the island of Langeoog.
